About

Letty is a writer and performer, based in a tiny, plant-filled flat in Sheffield. She writes across multiple genres and has just landed the Fish Short Story Prize, judged by Sarah Hall and a Northern Writers ‘Northern Promise’ Award. Other snazzy accolades include The Bridport Prize and Mslexia, and her short films have been shown at BAFTA, LOCO & Aesthetica Film Festival.

Letty’s always got multiple projects on the bubble due to a low boredom threshold. She’s just finished her debut novel, Escape Artists and is now working on her debut collection of short fiction, as well as promoting her first non fiction book The Jobbing Actor: A coaching programme for actors.

When she’s not working she’s either tramping about in the Peak District, sitting in a dark auditorium, bargain-hunting in TK Maxx, travelling, dancing, learning something, laughing at something or cooking/eating/chatting with people she really likes.

Letty’s repped by Alexander Cochrane at C&W for writing, Kirk Whelan-Foran at United Agents for acting and Kate Davie at United Voices for audio.
